Big news, Alaska! Today we are pulling the wraps off of something we’ve had in the works for awhile… the Alaska Solar Energy Industry Association (AKSEIA).
AKSEIA’s mission is to build a strong solar industry in Alaska through advocacy and education. As the only trade association for the solar industry in Alaska, AKSEIA will represent all organizations that promote, manufacturer, build, and support the development of solar energy in Alaska. It is our goal to work with our member companies to champion industry best-practices & cost-competitive building practices, foster the removal of market barriers, and to educate the public on the benefits of solar energy in Alaska.
AKSEIA from its onset will be a democratically run and an open-to-all membership-supported organization. To be affiliated with the national Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), AKSEIA will also interface on federal issues affecting the solar industry in Alaska.
We look forward to helping get AKSEIA off the ground with other Alaskan solar companies, suppliers, support organizations, and manufacturers. We are conducting outreach now to fellow founding members and interested parties so please contact us below if you would like to help.
For further information please contact Stephen and look for more on akseia.org in the future.
Our first participating event will be on November 7 with REAP discussing residential solar trends and policies with ACEP from 5-7pm at the Anchorage Museum.
